Hi, I'm Barbara
I’m currently completing a 13-week bootcamp with Northcoders to become a full-stack developer 👩💻 I’ve been building Wordpress websites for clients for 5 years now and I finally decided to formalise and expand my knowledge!
I thrive on solving problems, which is what drew me into software development.
As a marketer at Waterwise, I worked within a remote team and lead one with great success and I want to continue growing my career as someone specialised in remote work. Taking ownership and responsibility for my work is very important for me and I value transparency in my place of work.
In my free time I’m a Brazilian Jiu jitsu athlete (a type of martial art practiced by rolling around on the floor in pyjamas) and teach classes of around 30 people every week. This has taught me how to give constructive and emphatethic feedback, which encourages the person receiving it instead of putting them down.
I’m biased against action, looking for solutions instead of dwelling on problems.
